Vocal Boot Camp Club (Grades 6th – 12th)

Through voice training and coaching, students will develop healthier vocal technique, stronger breath support, improved tone quality, and greater musical understanding. Students will learn how the voice works, how to practice effectively, and how to sing with clarity, power, and joy. Vocal Boot Camp will encourage students to "make a joyful noise to the Lord" by strengthening the instrument God has given them, their voice.
TUESDAY CLUBS
Elementary Choir (Grades 2nd – 5th)
DESCRIPTION: "Sing unto the Lord a new song: sing to the Lord all the earth"(Psalm 96:1). If you love singing then the Elementary Choir is for you! Choir participants will practice vocals through different techniques and exercises for strengthening their singing skills. Breath support will be worked on along with singing on pitch and volume. Songs learned will be in preparation for the Spring Art & Music Festival.
Devised Theater Club (Grades 6th – 8th)
DESCRIPTION: What is devised theater? Devised theater is a type of performance that's created collectively by the people who perform it. Instead of starting with a script, the group builds the show from the ground up through writing, movement, improvisation, and big, bold ideas. Short writing exercises are a major component. It's messy, creative, collaborative, and totally one-of-a-kind.
Over the course of the club, you'll be guided through the process of creating and staging an original work as a team. Through fun workshops, roundtable discussions, and community writing shares, we'll co-create a brand-new piece of theater. You'll get to write sketches, songs, monologues, and poems, choreograph original movement, and dream up the world of the show from start to finish. Along the way, you'll build skills in storytelling, teamwork, adaptability, and creative problem-solving. No writing or performance experience needed-just imagination, passion, and a willingness to dive in.
WEDNESDAY CLUBS
Game Club (Grades K – 5th)
DESCRIPTION: Students will be introduced to popular games that people of all ages can play. Students will learn good sportsmanship, how to strategize, and how to be a good team player. Game Club is full of fun board games and card games that will also help students with problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and communication. The club is a great way to make new friends and enjoy playing games in a safe and friendly environment.
THURSDAY CLUBS
Praise Dance Club (Grades 2nd - 6th)
DESCRIPTION: Psalm 149:3 “Let them praise His Name with dancing, making melody to Him with tambourine and harp.” Each club session will begin with journaling to worship music to prepare our hearts to dance unto the Lord. We will stretch to music and then work on various dance combinations and movements in preparation for the Spring Music & Art Festival. Journals will be provided.
